Gower Ambassadors were recently invited to attend the launch of the Swansea Bay Without A Car project.
The project is an effort to promote Swansea Bay as a beacon of sustainable transport and green travel for tourists who want to explore and discover all of Swansea Bay, including its stunning rural areas of Gower and North Swansea, without a car – by train, by bus, by foot or by cycle!
The project is run by local tourism trade association Tourism Swansea Bay (who also run the Gower Ambasador scheme) and BayTrans. The project was launched by Councillor Mark Thomas, Swansea Council cabinet member for environment and infrastructure management
Walking groups, cycling groups, public transport operators, Gower Ambassadors and local tourism operators were all present to learn more.
