In 2019, the Gower Walking Festival is embracing Visit Wales’s Year of Discovery. Discover a new part of our special landscape, rural or urban, from the hills north of Swansea to the most westerly point on Worms Head. We revisit popular places, and many walks will have an expert guide to tell you something new. We will walk the streets of old Swansea in celebration of the 50th year of the city. Our varied programme includes activities for children and families, and we are also delighted to be walking the whole of the Wales Coast Path in our area, from Crofty to Mumbles – some 50 miles over two days.
All Gower Walking Festival walks and activities have your safety at their core. Our trained, experienced leaders and back markers will guide you every step of the way and a first aider will be on hand for each walk.
We are indebted to all our volunteers. This festival would not happen without their cooperation, patience and enthusiasm. And a huge thank you to our sponsors, many of whom are supporting us for a second year. Their contributions help us to programme a great festival for you.
Spaces on all walks are limited to ensure maximum enjoyment, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Please also read and take note of our booking conditions.
