The RDP Mental Health Commission which was set up to reflect the Local Action Group’s acknowledgment that the work carried out by those involved in farming and agriculture not only takes a physical toll, but it can also place immense strain on some farmers’ and land-based workers’ mental health, which has not always been openly recognised by those in the sector.
